Katie May is a Whitstable resident who loves to swim in the sea.
Her novel, The Whitstable High Tide Swimming Club, is published in the UK by Trapeze. She writes literary memoir as Katherine May, and recently published The Electricity of Every Living Thing, an account of the year in which she tried to walk the South West Coast Path and became one of the growing number of late-diagnosed women with Asperger Syndrome. She is also known as Betty Herbert (The 52 Seductions).
